Barriers of Stone

Barriers of Stone is a six-book Gilded Age historical romance series set in the industrial heart of Philadelphia, where wealth, ambition, and reputation build walls as formidable as steel.

The series follows six powerful men who are friends—a business genius, an inventor, an industrialist, a shipping magnate, an investment banker, and a formidable attorney—whose influence shapes the city.  But the women who capture their hearts are perceptive and resilient, grounded in their own convictions. Without striving to change anyone, they bring warmth and clarity into lives built on duty—allowing guarded hearts to open in ways neither expected.

Against a backdrop of rising industry, family legacy, and rigid social expectations, these stories explore integrity, emotional courage, and the transformative strength of love.

You can read each book as a standalone, though returning characters and family connections weave the series together.
